Masao Kagawa Shihan (born June 8, 1955) is a highly respected Japanese Shotokan karate master Known for his explosive speed and precise technique, he blends traditional teachings with modern sports science.
Key Accomplishments
- Competitive Dominance: Won the JKA All Japan Grand Champion title in 1985 and the JKA World Kumite Championship in 1990.
- Leadership: Succeeded Master Tetsuhiko Asai to become the JKS Chief Instructor and Technical Director in 2006.
- Coaching: Served as the head coach for the Japan Karate Federation (JKF) national team and Teikyo University, leading elite athletes to top finishes at WKF World Championships.
